Aging skin: what is a good skin regime?

I am so confused! I am 48 and just now starting to care for my face.
I have always had good skin(olive, mediterrian) so I never thought too much about moisturizers and skin care. Now, I am starting to have wrinkles and uneven spots.
What should I use? there are so many products both expensive and reasonable.
Older women and professionals please respond with good products that work Thanks!!

There is something that is really great that you can use called bio-oil. you can go to drugstore.com and read what other people said about the product. Its really good for age spots and can help with wrinkles too.

I personal think Arbonne is one of the best!!

Arbonne has 9 top anti-aging ingredient in it!!

    1. BIO-HYDRIA®COMPLEX: Proprietary blend of seven plant nutrients that soften and condition skin.

    2. NANOSPHERES: Infused with free radical fighting antioxidant vitamins, penetrate deep into the skin to protect, condition and adjust to skin’s specific needs.

    3. VITAMIN C, MAGNESIUM ASCORBYL PHOSPHATE: A biologic-ally-active form of vitamin C helps support collagen, elastin and ground substance (the strength and elasticity of the skin).

    4. ELHIBIN® & STIMU-TEX®: Elhibin®, a revolutionary, plant-derived skin protectant, contributes to skin’s elasticity, softness and smooth-ness. Stimu-Tex®, a unique, plant-derived skin moisturizer, helps to improve the appearance of the skin’s epidermal lipid layer, mini-mizing water loss.

    5. ALPHA LIPOIC ACID:: A powerful antioxidant that penetrates skin quickly and absorbs into the skin’s cells.

    6. KOJIC ACID: A highly effective, natural skin lightening agent that reduces the appearance of long-term sun and environ-mental damage.

    7. COPPER: Visibly smoothes, softens and firms skin. Helps reduce the appearance of fine lines while promoting younger-looking skin.

    8. ALPHA & BETA HYDROXY ACIDS: Activate healthy cells while dimin-ishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

    9. PEPTIDES: Improve skin roughness and lessen the appearance of wrinkle volume and wrinkle depth.

First of all you may start with a good hygiene and proper products will keep you out of cosmetic surgery
1.use a good cleanser for your skin type with lavender for dry skin or something with peppermint for oily skin
    2. use a good toner look for something that does not contain alcohol this will make your skin dry
    3. a serum or something that will produce collagen or help renovate the cells
    4. hydration is very important use a good moisturizer with solar protection
    5. once a week exfoliate your skin something with small beads
following this regimen you will remain looking youth-full

Try Kiehl’s! You can check the Kiehl’s website to find a store near you. You can get an associate to analyze your skin and help you pick out the perfect products for your skin. They have some amazing products. I use it every morning and night and my skin has a beautiful glow. I highly recommend the Pineapple Papaya Scrub, Micro-Dermabrasion, Abyssine Eye Cream, Over-Night Biological Peel, and the Powerful Strength Line Reducing Concentrate. I have all of these products and love them! You’ll also need a cleanser, toner and moisturizer suitable for your skin.

I am 54; similar situation , olive skin, mediteranean; never did much for my skin. My husband however, is very fair and has numerous pre cancer areas so we have been forced to pay attention. His dermatoligist told him to moisturize and use sunscreen all the time. ( I grew up in Fla and almost never wore sunscreen so this is an adjustment). I have come to realize that a light moisturizer ( non=comedigenic, ie, doesnt clog pores) used twice a day, and a sunscreen if I am out in sun for a while seems to keep the wrinkles at bay. I have been using a light topical vitamin a cream occassionally . Really unless you smoke , drink excessively or heavy sun damage, less ‘treatment’ on your skin the better. See this website…. … it is balanced and has lots of info.
