What exactly is PABA when it comes to skin care products? I bought a
moisturizer from Olay, it’s from the “Olay complete” line, for sensitive skin. I read it’s one of the top moisturizers out in the market. Now Im guessing PABA stands for paraben…? It claims to be “100% PABA Free” Now, if PABA does stand for paraben, in the ingredients, it lists that it contains: Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, and Propylparaben. Im confused! Lol Is it or is it not paraben free? And if it is not paraben free, should I switch over to a new
moisturizer?
I’m a female, early twenties with acne prone skin & oily t-zone. I have been battling acne since I was 12. I am very picky when it comes to skin care products just because acne runs in my family from my father’s side, so its not just a hormone thing. I look at my older female cousins that battled acne for years since their teen years, and I want to try to prevent my skin from looking like their skin when I get to their age. They always tell me how much they wish they would’ve taken better care of it & knew what products to use and which ones to stay away from. If any one has any suggestions of good moderately priced products for my situation, let me know = )

I’m 14 and all I do is wash face with Neutrogena Wave Cleanser/toner/lotion from Acne Free/moisturize Morning Burst Clean&Clear. I still have faint dark circles under my eyes and teeny bags that I would like to get rid of.
I don’t know what kind of skin I have ( I think its combination or something, I’m not sure. Right now I just finished taking a shower, did my routine, and now my face feels just a little tight in places looks shiny. I don’t know how to find out. I redden easily when I rub my nose and the area around my cheeks will get red if I rub it too much while washing my face. I don’t sunburn easily. What I eat doesn’t really affect my skin from what I notice. )
I’m going back to school next Monday, first day of high school, and I don’t look all too bad right now but I’d like to improve it because I don’t feel comfortable with my face with the semi-dryness tight and all. For my age I know its useful to try mineral powder foundation OR tinted moisturizer but I don’t know which one is best for me and I have to get it from a drugstore. BTW I don’t wear makeup like eyeshadow/eyeliner/mascara, I wear lip gloss on special occasions and all and I mostly wear SPF chapstick. I just want my face to look natural.

Is it better to have all natural ingrediants in a ******
moisturizer or is it better to have it with different chemicals that are specifically meant to do certain things like kill germs and make pores smaller ect.
For example I usually use Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer. It’s a great product but it’s loaded with chemicals that could eventually age my skin. And then there’s Burt’s Bee’s Green Tea Moisturizer which is like 98% natural and it does practically the same things that CDD does (from what I heard) with natural emolliants from the plants that are used in the product ect.
So is it better to go chemical free or natural?
But the Cinique products are unscented. So would the natural fragrances in the Burt’s Bee’s products cause me to get a reaction?

I’m 16 and I have oily, acne-prone skin. I’ve tried Olay Total Effects (cleanser and
moisturizer). It worked really well for me, but people tell me that I should try something more suited for my age. (They tell me Olay was for older people.) So I tried St. Ives (scrub,
moisturizer and this eye stress gel thing) I started breaking out, but my aunt told me that it happened to her and the pimples would go away after some time.
Was that true? Should I try another brand? I was planning on trying out Garnier. Or should I go back to Olay? Are there other brands that I could use?
I’m pretty brand loyal so when I use the cleanser of this brand, I use its moisturizer too, cause I’m a little scared that I won’t get the results I want. Is it better to try other brands for other purposes?
Thanks!

I’m in my early 20’s and am wondering what type of moisturiser should I be using. It was recommended that I use a hydrating one due to my age but I’ve being using it (Nivea Visage Aqua Sensation) for some months now and dont think its making any difference at all. I have normal to dry skin but at times it can become dry and feel really tight if I don’t use the correct product. I dont have sensitive skin so I dont generally tend to react to new products.

Well i have had a dry skin problem for over 6 months and i have tried loads of ways to try and beat it. Now it has gotten even worse, my face used to be dry in morning and a few hours after applying a
moisturizer, but now its red, sore and dry and i am so frustrated.
I am considering going to the doctors this week.
Im not sure whether my skin problem is caused by a nutrient deficiency or i am just not using the correct face products?
Does anyone have any solutions to my on going problem?
thanks in advance

hi, im 15 years old and wear makeup everyday. Not for everyone else but for myself. I dont have any pimples or anything just small freckles and light skin.
I have blue eyes, blonde hair.
And i think i look better with it.
I put it on so it looks natural, but flawless.
I use mascara
2 shades of foundation (not heavy) used with spoungy thing
then powder
and brush on some bronzer
followed by some rub in blush.
I use it all over my face (except blush)
but i am just a bit concerned.
I moisterize with a very good natural mouisterizer befor and after application. I use a cleanser eveynight in the shower to get it all off, but i always feel guilty because im wondering is this ruining my skin and is the moisturizer really making up for it?
Will my skin damage or age quickly? Please i would love any advise.
And please dont start with ‘Your young, you dont need makeup’, because well, i feel uncomfertable without it so i wear it.

So that means no tinted
moisturizer, no clear mascara. I can only wear lip things like stains, glosses etc
I still want to look nice thought. My mom set an age limit ( none till 17) So how can I look pretty? And good moisturizers or tools that I can use?
Thanks a ton!
Oh no I tryed asking her about things like tinted
moisturizer…. she got reallly angry. Don’t wanna go back there lol. Shes just strict like that. No changing her ways what so ever.

Yeah, so I’m 14 and I use this Olay
moisturizer and it has a bit of sunless tanner in it. I only use it because I don’t tan very much in the summer. I’m starting to look darker which I like because i’m very pale. But is this bad for my skin? It has moisurizer in it so I thought it would be better than some.
Your opinion?
Thanks
